I
was born in Moscow in 1973 to the old artistic dinasty spaning 4
generations so I knew that I will become a fine artist as long as
I can remember myself. My Mum and Dad were well known award winning
jewelry designers and my Garndma was a prominent artist of the Social
Realism era. As for my Great Great Grandfather one of his works
has been bought by Russian Museum of St. Peterburgh back in pre-revolutionary
Russia.
In
1997 I graduated from
Stroganov University of Applied Arts, one of the oldest and most
prestigious art schools in Russia. From 1994 I participated in various
local and national exhibitions.
In
1999, after marrige, I moved to the UK. Over
the period of 1999 - 2002 I had a number of exhibitions in London.
Among the
venues
were
Ficino
Gallery in Harrow-on-the-Hill, Rowley Gallery in Kensington,
East West Gallery in Notting Hill and personal
exhibition
in Avantgarde Gallery in St.John's
Wood.
My portraiture clients include familly of Vice President of Conde
Nast International, Vogue's editor Bernd Runge.
Cats
have always fascinated me. As free and graceful and aetheticaly
pleasing as the art itself they are to me the perfect subjects for
painting. Cats eyes are full of immense beauty and mystery. Im my
artistic career I have painted hundreds of cats and still I am never
tired of them. The best of these efforts are made into prints are
offered here for sale.
